RAZER Optical Switches

Razer Opto-Mechanical Switches feature an optical light sensor inside the switch. By pressing a key, you allow the receiver to be activated by this light signal, instantly activating the switch command. You’ve never experienced speed like this. They deliver faster performance without compromising on the clicky feel. They have the same actuation and reset points as fast-acting switches found in a linear switch and provide the tactile feel of our best-selling Razer Green Switches, with a lower actuation force of 45g. The lifespan of a Razer Opto-Mechanical switch is rated for up to 100 million keystrokes, double that of traditional mechanical switches. By utilizing optical actuation technology and a metal key stabilization bar placed around each switch, there are fewer moving parts and no physical contact during actuation. This reduces switch loosening with use, making the Razer Huntsman a more stable and durable keyboard that gamers can rely on for years to come.

The Razer Huntsman Mini lacks the F1-F12 function row, home cluster, and numpad of a traditional full-size keyboard, however it doesn't lose any functionality, because all of these commands are still accessible via secondary functions and shortcuts.
